This ironing board is very difficult to work with. The position the lever is situated to open and close the board is extremely awkward - my husband has to put it up and down for me and even he has difficulty with it. The cover is not well-padded and does not iron shoulders well at the tip because of this. In addition, the small arm designed for sleeves and the folding rack at the end to hang hangers on keep sliding in and out when you are putting the board up and down. If it's not one it's the other or both together.
The sturdiness of the board is excellent, but I would not recommend it unless you are a really large muscular person. I had previously had one of these large boards (different brand) and it was very easy to use and well-padded. Just loved it and wanted a new one - but this, unfortunately,was not it.

This board is a great value. The sleeve board is excellent and easy to use. The board is very stable and well constructed. I would recommend it and would purchase it again if I needed a second board. It is larger than a regular ironing board but not to be considered an extra wide board by any means. The rack that holds my steam chamber is very sturdy and I don't have to worry when leaving it set up or if I have to move it in one direction or another that it might break or tip over easily.
