Paranoia by Joseph Finder is very plot driven, and I agree with oso diablo that the writing style itself was lacking. It was truthfully hard to creep through the first 20 chapters. And, there were points, being a computer geek myself, where I was screaming, "You don't need an effing keylogger, if you have physical access to the computer."
But by the end, I was jumping out of my seat. Thinking, I want to read more. I completely love Adam Cassidy and hope to see the character again someday.

I got this book free as a Kindle download, and it turned out to be one of the best books I've read in a long time. Great for vacation reading or travel. I couldn't stop reading, and there were many surprising twists. I will definitely read more of this author.

I decided to try Paranoia since it was a free download and wanted something to start reading on the Kindle. I immediately was hooked on it and found myself unable to put it down. His details in describing people and places made me feel like I was part of the main character's (Adam) world. I was disappointed with the use of language which didn't add anything to the story or realism. In fact, at times it even took away from the story. Otherwise, it was a good story line and suspenseful. I was disappointed with the ending. After the great story line and build up the ending let me down.
I am willing to try one of Finder's other books if they are written in the same suspenseful manner. I liked his use of fictitious and real companies and their products. I would hope that they aren't written with all of the language to try and shock the reader or create some sort of realism.

This book really kept me interested. I was definitely caught off guard by the ending. I would read more by Joseph Finder!

This book was easy to read, hard to put down. No mind-blowing plots, no magical characters that you have to learn the terminology for, just a good story. This book reads like a screenplay, it would make for a great movie thriller. 4 stars instead of 5, because the last couple of pages were a little weak (kind of like Grisham's The Firm.) Enjoy!
