 "Terrible Iron!" 2007-03-05
By Mr. Darby (USA)
We paid top dollar for our iron, but it started leaking almost from the beginning. It leaks on everything--just when you're in a rush. Rowenta "customer service" was a nightmare. Totally indifferent and borderline rude.

Never again!

 "2X LOSER!" 2006-09-05
By Jill Neyland (Livingston, La. United States)
I give this iron 2 stars because I loved the performance until I wore out the cord AND the wall plug-in due to no "off" button.

My husband replaced the cord...didn't last long. I decided to buy another Rowenta (mind didn't leak), @ $130.00. It lasted less than 1 year and there is NO service dealer to be found!

Because I paid so much, I still have them in the cabinet, hoping someday for a local dealer/repair shop to emerge. I now use a

$17.99 iron from Walmart.

 "Buy a different iron" 2005-01-25
By Jdonne55 (Carpinteria, CA United States)
This item is advertised as "no-drip." To say that this is a "no-drip" iron is more than just a stretch of the imagination. This iron SOAKS everything I try to iron: it leaks like a sinking life raft. The steam button works when it feels like it, certainly not when you press the button. It worked this bad right out of the box, brand new. Please, if you wish to retain your sanity, buy a different iron and do not frustrate yourself by spending your money on this item. It would not be an out-of-line statement to say that Rowenta owes its customers a full refund and apology for making such a poor performing item and marketing it as a quality appliance.

 "DO NOT BUY" 2004-10-11
By C. Crowder (georgia)
I, too, own a Rowenta iron because of the supposed quality. The no leak iron consistently leaked. I contacted customer no-service and they advised me to use 50/50 distilled/tap water. This did not remedy the problem. I tried returning it to the store, but could not find my original receipt. Rowneta told me to send it in for warranty work. I just wanted my money back. I ended up buying another iron.

"Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!" 2004-06-28
By Shan Rae (Texas)
I received my first Rowenta for a wedding present three years ago. My mother had one, so I thought I had a great iron. One and a half years later it is leaking and putting brown spots on everything. The holes were clogged and the steamer no longer worked. So, I decided to go and purchase a new, better Rowenta. I "upgraded" to the Precision and it did not even last a year. Within 5-6 months the steam no longer worked and my clothes were getting soaked. The kicker is that while I was ironing I noticed that the wrinkles were not coming out. I pressed harder and still nothing. I felt of the clothes and they were not hot. The thing just quit! The lights were still on, but no heat. Plus, I did follow all the instuctions. I used tap water, cleaned the plate, used the self-cleaning feature, but still all of these troubles. I ran as far away from Rowenta as possible. They are not going to get the chance to jip me again!
