 "WONDERFUL" 2009-03-26
By Karen Cargill (Silver Springs, Nevada USA)
I loved this iron so much I bought another and stored it away I wasn't sure how long they will be offered at this price, or if it is just a limited time for breast cancer research. I sew a lot an love an iron WITHOUT an auto shut off. Go get one!

 "Rowenta Rocks" 2009-03-23
By Melissa Mcintyre (Redneckville TN)
I just love this iron. It is so professional and is made of such good quality material. I will never by any other brand. The company I bought the iron from on Amazon was wonderful. It just shows that much of the time things are wondersful.

Thanks. I will always order on Amazon before Ebay anyday:)

 "Don't buy this iron!" 2008-12-18
By Lora C. Roberts (Branchville, AL United States)
I got this iron and when I purchased a faulty Rowenta ironing board, the iron fell off and the sole plate bent. Rowenta replaced the ironing board and iron but the replacement ironing board wobbles and that caused the replacement iron to fall off and guess what....bent sole plate! I have had many irons fall over the years, either off the shelf or off the ironing board...this is the first iron I have ever had that the sole plate bent! Stick to a less expensive iron. It is not worth the money for this one. Of course the falling off the defective ironing board also caused the iron to leak.

 "Best steam ever!" 2008-12-16
By J.M.D. (Houston, TX USA)
The amount of steam you get out of this iron is amazing! It makes getting wrinkles out an easy job. I hate ironing, but do not mind so much with this iron because it makes the job much easier. Make sure you have a good ironing board cover because it will actually begin to drip under your ironing board if you do several items.

 "Don't waste your money!" 2008-11-06
By Silver Fox (Michigan, USA)
This is the worst iron I have ever owned. I am a quilter and I have to use spray starch in order to get this thing to even press a seam properly on cotton and the temperature is set on high! If you have a cotton article of clothing that is just ever so slightly wrinkled..forget about it. Don't waste your money. I happened to mention to 2 other quilters about my Rowenta and they said they had them in the past and they were not happy with them at all and would never own one again. I just bought a Panasonic cordless and I love it!! Good bye Rowenta forever!! If I could, I would give this no stars!

 "Does a great job" 2009-07-16
By Emily Cumbie (Auburn, AL)
I was concerned about water leaking, after reading several other reviews, but so far this has not been an issue. My husband and I iron our clothes almost every day and so far we have been very pleased with what a good job this iron does.

 "Rowenta DZ5080 iron" 2009-07-12
By JCPewter (Sequim, WA)
Had great hopes for this iron when I purchased it, even having read some of the poor reviews. Have used ONLY Rowenta irons for many years....the less expensive ones.....and hoped that this high-priced one would be that much better. Wrong! It worked well enough for the first couple weeks; the pointy nose seemed to get into much smaller spaces, and one filling generally did my ironing for the week. BUT...it soon started cutting off

power and was cold while I was ironing! After couple times of this, I decided to send it back for one with NO AUTO OFF, which is now costing $20. more than this one. Am hoping the new one works as it's supposed to.

"Great - get this one!" 2009-06-29

Ok, so I am not the ironing kind... but this Rowenta is worth money. Jeans, shirts, dress shirts, all comes out great. It is worth the extra $$, really. Get this one if you need a new iron.

 "So far so good" 2009-06-23
By mombosmith (Boston, MA)
I've had this item for about a month; I took a chance on another Rowenta even though a less expensive model died after only a few years of service. But since that may have been due to it being dropped a couple of times, I gave Rowenta the benefit of the doubt, and bought this one because I really wanted more professional ironing ability. So far it has been a delight and I especially love the pointy front that gets into those hard to iron places on shirts and pants. It does go through the water quickly but I have not had some of the spitting problems other reviews have mentioned. But while I was waiting for this to arrive, I borrowed a friends basic Black and Decker, which worked very well and made me wonder if the extra $60 would be worth it. Be that as it may, I' so far satisfied with this purchase and only hope that it has durability.
